The Ezzy Free(ride)3 blends supreme sail performance with Technora® sailcloth.

The dark panel on the Free(ride)3 consists of Technora® fibers. Technora® is a para-aramid fiber that weight for weight is 8 times stronger than steel and 3 times stronger than nylon and Dacron®. Since Technora® is so light, we are able to save considerable weight in the sail. Furthermore, the low stretch of Technora® means less stretch distortion along the leech when a gust hits, producing a more stable feeling sail.

How does the Free(ride)3 compare to our previous Freeride?

  • The new Free(ride)3 points significantly higher and has a much greater reaching angle.
  • Higher wind range. You can comfortably sail the new Freeride one square meter bigger and one square meter smaller.
  • Lighter and much easier to handle.

Other key features:

  • Contains no monofilm.
  • Body panels made with Spectra X Ply.
  • RBS epoxy battens.
  • Vinyl window. Removable triple block tack pulley with D-ring option.
  • Color coded outhaul and downhaul rigging indicators.
  • Every sail is rigged and checked in our factory.

    Hi,
I own 5 different ezzy sails and my biggest is an ezzy wave panther 6,3…
My question is there a ezzy sail with more power that fits a 430 Mast??

    greetz Martijn

  • ezzysails

    Hi Martijn,
The 6.3 Panther is the biggest sail that fits on a 430 mast.

If you rig the 6.3 with very little downhaul and outhaul he can get more power out of the 6.3. If you want to email me a picture of his 6.3 rigged, I can critique it.
    Regards,

  • Pierre

    Hi David.

I am looking for a fast freeride flatwater sail for my 7,0 7 battens no cam replacement sail. (She as a 4,8 kg weight with a 202 cm boom.- I am replacing it because my new carbon wish as 202 cm max extension …)
I am 200 lbs and my quiver is right now 4,5-5,5 and 7,0. I use a 120 liters for the 7,0 with a SDM 75% mast. What is your suggestion?
By the way, where can I fin a Ezzy sail weight chart? (I did a search and found some sails weight but not a complete chart)
    Thanks a lot!
    Pierre

  • ezzysails

thanks for the email Pierre. I would suggest the Freeride 7.0 for you. This sail would work nicely in your configuration. What brand mast is your SDM?
The weight of the 7.0 FR is 4.676

  • Pierre

Thanks for the answer and the sail weight.
Freeride 4 2010 with 197 boom. Not to close to 202 cm? (on the other hand, fiberspaar carbon wish are heavy duty…)
I have a fiberspaar 75% mast bought new in 2008, (… and not broken yet…)
    Keep looking…
    Pierre
