The factory behind Ezzy.

We have built our own sails in our own factory since 1993, in Katunayake, Sri Lanka. The same cutting, sewing and screen printing lines that make Ezzy sails and wings are open to your product.

Ezzy is one of three windsurf sail brands in the world that owns its factory. We are not a trading company and we do not subcontract. If we quote it, we build it here.

We make things that are sewn. We do not do composites, injection moulding or hardware. If that is what you need, we will tell you straight away.

Nothing leaves without being measured

  • Seam tolerance: 0.25 mm
  • Three separate inspections on every sail
  • Every wing inflated, measured and left inflated overnight

If a wing has lost air in the morning, it does not ship. That is the standard we hold our own products to, and it is the same line your product runs on.

The people who own it

In 1993 the Sri Lankan managers of another sail factory came to David Ezzy with a proposal: build a factory together, owned together. That is how this company started.

Our accountant, our engineer, our general manager and our floor supervisors are shareholders. Part of every unit we sell funds the education of our workers’ children through the Ezzy Foundation.

How to start

Send us what you have: a drawing, a sample, or a description. Tell us how many and when you need them.

We will tell you whether we are the right factory for it. If we are not, we will say so.
