2026 Ezzy Zorro colors

ZORRO

The Zorro is our new 4-batten wave sail, designed for onshore and real-world waves. It’s a collaboration between David Ezzy on Maui and José Fernandez in Tenerife. The Zorro thrives in everyday conditions — the kind most of us actually sail in. It keeps its speed and drive through messy sections, then goes instantly neutral when you start surfing, giving you total freedom on the wave.

The Zorro Design

  • Compact outline that turns on a dime
  • Stable and balanced for high jumps
  • Large window for clear wave vision

Performance and Versatility

The Zorro accelerates fast and feels alive in your hands. It drives steadily and confidently through onshore waves and jumps, yet goes neutral the moment you need it to — perfect for flowing turns and smooth transitions.

Zorro vs. Ezzy Wave

The Zorro feels compact and a bit stiffer, with a constant drive that shines in onshore wave sailing and jumping.

The Ezzy Wave, on the other hand, has a more locked-in, controlled feel — ideal for side-shore or bump-and-jump sailing.

Ezzy Quality

Like every Ezzy sail, the Zorro is built to last. It uses Dyneema X-Ply, lightweight scrims, and our bombproof sleeve cloth. And every Zorro is rigged and tuned in our factory so it rigs perfectly right out of the bag.

Note on Ezzy Masts

2023 Wave Mast Chart

The recommended masts found in the Sail Specs refer to the Ezzy Ho'okipa masts and the Legacy masts. By using the recommended Ezzy mast in your sail, not only do you access 100% of the sail's performance but you also can use the calibrated rigging without any hassle.

Ezzy Sails are designed to be used with Ezzy Masts, but the sails will also work with a variety of other masts (RDM and SDM). Ezzy mast bend curves are constant curve with tip: 75% to 79% and base: 62% to 65%. Note: this is not carbon content. This is percentage bend relative to the midpoint bend.

HOW DOES CALIBRATED RIGGING WORK?

Every Ezzy Wave is calibrated in the factory so that you can tune your sail accurately in seconds. If you have the recommended Ezzy mast, all you need to do is:

  1. Downhaul until the bottom of the mast lines up with the amount of tension you want, as indicated by the gauge on the sail. Max is for stronger wind, and Min is for lighter winds.
  2. That's it! Get on the water.

Calibrated Rigging

What if you don't have the recommended Ezzy mast? No problem. Follow these steps to calibrate your sail yourself:

  1. Set your mast extension to the medium extension height.
  2. Slide your mast into the luff sleeve, making sure the mast sits above the battens. Do not apply any outhaul.
  3. Begin downhauling slowly while observing the front of the foot batten. Continue downhauling just until the front of the foot batten “pops” to the side of the mast and then stop downhauling.
  4. This is your medium wind setting.
  5. Now, remove the downhaul gauge from the velcro and move it so that the medium mark lines up with the bottom of your mast.
  6. The downhaul gauge is set. From now on, just downhaul until the gauge lines up with the bottom of your mast.
